My daughter is turning 5 this summer, and I think it's time for her first gun. A few folks have suggested that I start with a Crickett, but I welcome other thoughts from here on the forum.

I purchased a chiPmunk which is like a Crockett when my oldest was that age. Great gun to learn on.

I bought my daughter a savage rascal. She can work the bolt and it has a great front sight. Hers is pink.

She is only 10 months old though, so I guess time will tell. I got the red one.Wodathunkit wrote:I bought my daughter a savage rascal.

Santa brought my daughter a Crickett when she was 6, pink of course. She is now 8 and very proficient with it. It is a great gun for her to learn on and dang accurate to boot. I'm sure you won't go wrong with whatever you get her, it's just that I endorse the Crickett because that's what we have...

A cricket would be good , any light bolt actin single shot . Teach her to work on her gun , they love to work with you ;
