Application Mailed 06/03/13, CHL Mailed 06-24-13

I mailed off my packet on June 3rd, and when I checked my status today it shows everything in the green and my CHL mailed. I had not received any updates before today, and I check every day. I'm excited about being able to legally carry. I should have done this right when I turned 21. Just giving you guys a heads up at what the wait time looks like right now.

Ok, now I'm getting impatient! Mine went in at the same time (6/2, actually) and it still shows waiting for the receipt of materials.

I'm young and boring though...may have something to do with it. 22 years old, only one employer, two residences in five years, only a couple traffic violations, etc...

Oh, and mine went from "waiting on materials" to "mailed" all at once.

Could be... although I'm 28, no employers in the last five years (home with the kids), two residences (both in the same county), and not so much as a speeding ticket in my entire life. Hopefully it'll be soon. My husband's was just under 7 weeks not long ago.

I read that the "mailed" status just means it's on it's way to being mailed...I hope it hurries up! I have never felt unsafe without a gun on me, UNTIL I sent off my paperwork for my CHL, now I feel vulnerable!

Congrats! As of today, mine is pending background check. Guess I'd better hurry up and buy a belt.

Wow congrats to all who got plastic and so fast. I mailed on 3-11 got mine on 5-11 > 62 fun filled waiting days. I guess March was a cold month.
