Ruger SR1911 Commander

I just purchase the Ruger SR1911 Commander. I got it for $679.99 and want to think it's a good price. I researched and didn't find a cheaper price. Do you think it was a good buy? Also, anyone shoot the SR1911? What did you think?

By the way, this is my first 1911.

Sounds like a great price to me. I've seen the full size model going for MSRP or above MSRP (~$800) when I've seen it.

.... Now, if they'll hurry up and bring out a blued or parked model, I'll be chuffed.

I would go for a parkerized one too. I've got a SS 1911. It was my first. It feels like it is too pretty.
