Visiting Washington DC.... Link to Pics

Post by dpatterson »

Getting to visit DC for some training thru work. Toured the National Mall today. Got some good pics of the War Memorials there. Still have lots of pics to add but here is what I have uploaded so far.

Also this is my first trip to DC so seeing the WWII and Vietnam Memorial was very humbling....

Only posting a link to the pics because there are too many good ones to post.

I think this is my favorite...

For those of you interested, the travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall will be in Pflugerville in early June. I can get the dates tomorrow for anyone that's interested.[/quote]

Thanks DP, any reason you picked that panel?

No particular person for picking that panel.... I think because there was a women crying as she looked at it. She must have had someone special on that panel. It caught me in the moment...

I only know a few people that were in Vietnam... My Father in Law and his brother are a few. They do not talk about it at all and after seeing the wall today I can start to imagine why.

A couple of friends, classmates, and shipmates, are on the wall, just wanted to know if there was significance.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
