Hey just submitted my application anyone have July applications hopefully they will to just as fast as the June ones.

I sent in my application July 2nd via certified mail. It went out in Austin for delivery July 3rd but didn't actually show it was delivered.
Since I had a tracking number I was able to call the DPS and give them the tracking number and they were able to verify using their internal system that it was received on July 3rd. As of right now I checked my status online and they finally showed they received the materials (yesterday it showed they were still awaiting).
Now it's in the background check stage! Happy!

Submitted my stuff 7/11/13 it showed they received it 7/13/13 I sent it priority so just waiting on the update...

Just submitted my wife's documents via email. I'm interested to see how long her email submission takes compared to mine via USPS.

Mine was mailed via USPS on 6/4 and my status was just moved to "mailed" yesterday.

I think I may be having this problem as well I sent it certified and it seems to be stuck as arrival at unit instead of delivered.

I read if you send it certified it requires a signature and that if usps didn't get a signature on their attempts they leave that note saying to pick it up at their place so it's up to the people from DPS to go pick it up and sign for it. I sent mine through priority had a tracking number as well and was delivered if someone signed or not

I have sent in my renewal on July 1st. The web page was not updated until Jul 16-17 (not updated on 15th, updated on 17th).

Update!
Background check passed!
Gone to Manufacturing pending.

Despite me not being a US citizen my BG check only took 2-3 days! Happy.

I'm wondering if my BG check went so quick because I only recently received a green card-- that process has a very deep background check.
