SB 1400 Airguns and BB Guns

Can someone explain what was recently passed in regards to SB 1400? "Firearm does not include an airgun". Does this mean I can shoot my pump pellet gun in my backyard now?

I did a search here and did not find anything, so if you can comment, it would be appreciated...!!!!

Are you in an annex or extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality?

It looks like if you're unincorporated (no city) - like me then they can't regulate firing of an air gun, subject to the following exceptions:
(1) a park, playground, museum, or site acquired and
maintained under Chapter 331; or
(2) a facility owned or leased by the county.
