Yearly qual was today
We had the yearly qualification shoot today. My Glock performed flawlessly as usually
. I really need to practice though as my shooting sucked today...only a 99.2 %... LOL
Maybe next year I will actually take the time to aim.

If you carried a 1911, you wouldn't have needed to shoot, never mind aiming. 100% just because!texanjoker wrote:We had the yearly qualification shoot today. My Glock performed flawlessly as usually. I really need to practice though as my shooting sucked today...only a 99.2 %... LOL

So, we don't need to worry about you shooting 8 innocent bystanders while aiming at a suspect 20 ft away from you? Oh wait, that was NYC. You would think with the obesity problems they have in NYC suspects would be easy to catch and hard to miss.texanjoker wrote:We had the yearly qualification shoot today. The only duty handgun I would trade a Glock for is a Sig, especially if it is an even swap
.
There Salty1, I said it, I will shoot something besides a Glock.

Re: Yearly qual was today
At first I was going to post something about LEO's only having to qualify once a year (and I still have a minor issue with this) when most of us here go to the range at least monthly. But thats just those on this forum and we seem to be more dedicated.
Then I thought about the majority of CHL holders that only go before renewing (every 5 years) if then.
Personally I would rathere see LEO's qualify at least twice a year as for some, like CHL holders, thats the only time they go to the range.
My son's partner is like that. My son has tried on many occassion to get him to go practice with us and he always says no. He barely qualified the last time at the range. My son finally told him if he were ever to be in a situation to have to shoot, make sure he is behind him.

In CA we qualified quarterly.... here they don't have the $$ for ammo or so I am told. We were also provided ammo every month if we choose to go to the range. Our course of fire was more difficult then the TCLEOSE minimum. As I understand it, after 09/01 CHL won't even have to re-qual.RPBrown wrote:At first I was going to post something about LEO's only having to qualify once a year (and I still have a minor issue with this) when most of us here go to the range at least monthly. Well, I don't like Glocks, but I sure wouldn't trade my Sig P226 for one straight up. You'd have to give me some cash.LeonCarr wrote:The only duty handgun I would trade a Glock for is a Sig, especially if it is an even swap.
