S&W M&P 9c On Steriods

Post by carlson1 »

I do not have a problem concealing the butt of a pistol, but the long slide is uncomfortable for me. It took me awhile to find a full size magazine. One of the Forum Members helped me out. They are not as plentiful as the Glock magazine.

Looks odd, but I like it. I hope to take it for a test run tomorrow.

Hope that works for you. :thumbs2:

I carry a Glock 19 at times and the barrel length (just a bit longer than the M&P9c) doesn't bother me but the grip length causes me issues. Unfortunately a setup like yours would not work for me unless I was carrying that mag as reload.

I had a chance to fire that same gun yesterday. I think it's a fine gun. It looks good too. I learned the the M&P line is really dependable! Good Choice! :thumbs2:

I found a full size magazine for my 9c at a Farm and Fleet store in Iowa of all places. I thought it was the smaller magazine when I bought it and was pleasantly surprised when it fit - now I need to find the filler sleeve for it. The extended mag would cause some concealment issues so I only use it at the range.

Love my 9c :thumbs2: .

S&W mags are hard to come by lately. I have gotten notifications (on waiting lists) from Midway, but as soon as you log in, they are gone again. I'm glad you found something.

I found the magazine last summer! Chances are Farm & Fleet is out like everybody else nowadays.

I am going to list a couple of magazines for the Shield and the M&P 9c.

I wonder why they are so hard to find? I can find Glock and Sig Sauer magazines very easy.

M&P mags haven't been around nearly as long, thus not as much inventory out there.

During the recent frenzy I ended up selling a used 10-round (California, Mass., NY) M&P mag on eBay of all places for more than $100 :eek6 ... apparently in those states (the buyer was from Cali) the 10-round M&P mags are exceptionally rare because there aren't any floating around from the 1993-2004 Federal mag limit.

That is a nice setup. I do the same with my baby Glock on occasion.

Also I have a brand new sleeve I am not going to use. Shoot me a PM and we will figure out how to get it to you.

I have done this with my Glock also. I thought I would show you a comparison. The M&P is a little larger than the Glock. I think it more as the size of a Commander.

:iagree:

I carry the 9C with the 12 round mag with the pinky extension. I carry the 17 round full size mag as a reload as it doesn't conceal nearly as well for me.
