Well I'll tell you what....I took my STI Guardian out yesterday and I absolutely love it!
I also took out my Sig 238 for the first time as well and was far less pleased with it's performance. Both feed reliably but the Sig was constantly hitting low and sometime was all over the place.
Of couse, I went thought close to 700 rds between the two yesterday so I'm sure fatigue played a part. I just don't think I'm good enough to be using such a short barrel, in such a small gun at any more than 5-7 yards.

The Sig 238 has no problems hitting accurately at 15 yards, one of the issues may have been bringing 2 new guns to the range for the first time and expecting them to act the same. One cannot expect the STI and 238 to feel the same as they are 2 totally different handguns with much different triggers. I would suggest mastering them one at a time, once you have one totally figured out then start with the other one. Enjoy, they are both very nice firearms.........

I actually show the Sig 238 first and ran 380 rounds thought it(300 FMJ, 80 Gold Dots).
I was mostly fresh and well rested but still didn't do as well with it as I would like.

The STI Guardian however, even after shooting so much of the .380, performed excellently. I was even hitting the target at 15 yards. Not a bullseye, but I was on paper at least which was still good enough for me.
At 7-10 yards the Guardian was very impressive. I shot this pistol better than any other I own. I know it was my first trip to the range with it but I ran 250 though it and was happy with nearly every shot. The shots I screw up I knew immediately because I would jerk the trigger, flinch or whatever.

I guess I'll just need to spend more time at the range working on the Sig.
