Looking for decent scope and rifle

I am looking at going hog hunting for the first time around the begining of the year and want to add a scope to my AR. I was looking at a Bushnell Banner Shotgun Scope 1.75-4x 32mm Circle-X Reticle Matte mid way number 699041 and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is a decent scope. Also looking to purchase a new rifle, a remington 770 in a 3006, and was wondering what people think about this rifle for hog hunting.
