Police said the gunman called police and said he wanted to get in a shootout with them.
:rules: Guess he lost "rlol" Because of this wacko other leo's will now have to live through the second guessing of a police involved shooting. Having been there it is not fun. Just a thought, but why not just blow your own head off?

Religious reasons?

Of course, getting someone else to do the deed is still suicide, but perhaps being deranged clouds the gray matter...

Apparently you can't have normal capacity magazines in Commierado, but you can have grenades.

Unfortunately, he had to demonstrate his manhood by shooting two unarmed women before calling and taunting police.

I'm sorry but if the department gives this situation more than 10 minutes worth of consideration because of an officer involved shooting, they are caught up in the same political correctness run ammuck as the Ft. Hood shooter. Due process is required but when someone shoots women and then blows up would-be bombs in the middle of the street when the officers arrive, the quicker he can be dispatched, the better.

Situations like the one in Ft. Worth with the uninvolved citizen shooting by police are where the investigative focus needs to be, not this suicide by cop one. Instead, we dismiss that one and get bogged down in this one. It's just plain nuts.

The beat cop will take the person out. Then the media and bloggers have a field day> after all this person just wanted help :smash: Then after the fact his family will file a lawsuit against the officers.

Las Vegas PD does a great job of stonewalling inquires. In my view, they have something to hide. Other departments, when faced with situations like this, need to take a similar approach. At some point, people and departments are going to have to quit kowtowing to pressure. Right is right.

All that it would take to stop family lawsuits against officers is a "looser pays" requirement.

Which the attorneys in legislatures and Congress will never allow to happen because it will cut a great big chunk out of their revenues (and I say this while having a son in a prestigious law school).
