Anodizing refinisher in DFW?

Post by daveyjones »

Hi, I am new to the forum and I apologize if this is not in the correct place. My question is there anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex that can reanodize an aluminum frame. I am looking in this area because I would rather not ship if it can be avoided. I have done some searching, but have found nothing as of yet. Thank you for any help.

BTW it is for a Beretta 92FS. I am thinking if I have to send it off that I will send it off to Beretta's service center if it comes down to it.

I would send it to Beretta. Even though it is probably more money and hassle, they should be able to do a better job than a local shop.

Prior to refinishing, the original anodize has to be stripped off. If it isn't done correctly you can lose too much metal and mess up the dimensions. Once you put on the anodize you can't add more.
