Crimson Trace Laser For Ruger LCP, Size Allen Wrench?

Post by drjoker »

Hi,

I lost my box that came with the Ruger LCP Crimson Trace Laser Grips. What size allen wrenches do I need to take it apart for battery replacement and adjust the laser dot's location?

Where can I buy in DFW or online most economically these size allen wrenches?

Thanks,
:tiphat:

Email Crimson Trace. They will tell you and likely send some wrenches. Good folks.

It's a 0.05" Allen wrench. Home Depot, Lowes, or the corner hardware store should be able to fix you up. A small fold up set should have all you need, :tiphat:

Thanks for the ideas guys. I finally found it... after searching the whole day for it.

Replaced the batteries for it. It's a great training aid and helps conserve on ammo for trigger control and point shooting training. It's great for a defensive handgun, especially the real tiny sights on pocket pistols, BUT it's worthless in the sun outdoors. I cannot see the red dot any further than 6 ft (spitting distance) outdoors during the day.

My suggestion is to buy a pocket pistol with decent sights. The ruger LCP and kel tec p3at have worthless sights. You'll have to point shoot it in bright sunlight.

Snub nosed revolvers have sights that are barely usable. Because of the thick cylinder, it is barely a pocket gun and it will print if you try to hide it in your front jeans pocket. It will not fit in your back pocket.

The Sig p238 has excellent sights and so does the Beretta Nano. These guns are almost as small as a kel-tec p3at but they are very heavy.

The Glock 26/27 has ok sights. They are visible and not too small, but the sight picture is weird. The perfect sight picture on the glock is 2/3 of the front sight dot between the rear sight posts. Why isn't it the whole front sight dot between the rear sight posts? Besides, the Glock isn't really a pocket gun. It is too thick and blocky to fit in a front jeans pocket or a back pocket unless you're wearing those crazy gangsta jeans with huge pockets.
