No I am in favor while in a discussion, that if I'm going to tell someone there idea is bad,, to express what MY idea is.

So NO I don't want a "police State" not that there really is such a definition.. Ideal maybe.. but no real clear definition "police state" is about as non definitive as "assault rifle"

I would love to see a special court set up.. so the accused could have a "speedy trial"
Love to see criminals caught with a gun in the commission of a crime given as long and harsh a sentience as a otherwise lawful citizen that is "caught" with a weapon, whose only crime is the mere possession of said weapon.
Think random raids to know drug dealer locations is a great idea... and if you are accepting public money for housing (or housing in kind), your home should be subject to search anytime.. with the oversight of a judge that confirms the residence in question is in fact provided by public funding.
Would love to see confirmed gang bangers locked up the first time indefinitely if convicted of a serious drug offence (manufacturing or distribution, trafficking) or any crime against a person.. (assault, murder, attempted murder)

Effectiveness alone is not the litmus of a workable solution.

It must be both effective and workable... Things that go against current law (which can be changed) or the constitution would be better left out of an honest discussion of what could be done to effect change.

Im well aware of what martial law, curfews and shoot on site (arrest then execute) can accomplish. But those are hardly workable solutions here in the US.

Cutting off your head works well to make a head ache go away. The other impacts generaly outweigh the benefit though.

And you just made my point.... It's not laws, additional restrictions, Martial Law, on the spot executions that needs to take place like we are in Somalia.

Justice to the felon you describe above simple needs to be as law allows on the hard side,, not the get out of jail free pass side.

If the folks in charge ignore that option now.. what makes you think they would use the more severe options you detailed.
Or are you suggesting taking this out of the states hands and making it a federal thing? I have seen that work well in a few places .. Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and a few others you would need to use Google to find. Point is, it is effective, but not really what we want here.

As I noted, the Chicago Justice System is a joke. Chicago has to either rent an island and throw the scum of this earth there for 10-yrs minimum sentence for each violent crime, or the killing will continue on the killing fields of south and west shore of said Chicago.

In Islamic Judicial System , "deportation for 1-yr" is part of sentencing.
