Beretta A400 vs Benelli M2

Post by iom »

Been looking for a new shotgun and have narrowed my search to these two. I mainly bird hunt along with a little clay shooting. Just curious if anyone here has any experience with either shotgun.
From what I've read online (I know, take with a grain of salt) the A400 handles light loads a little better than the M2.

Any insight is appreciated.

I shoot a Beretta A400 Explor and my wife shoots the A400 Excel. Both have very light recoil and work like a charm with any load. The new gas system on them lets you shoot lots more rounds before having to clean them due to carbon buildup. I just cleaned mine and it had at least 1500 shells through it with no failure to eject or load. Great guns and the new A300 has the same gas system and is less costly(half the price) but has a little more recoil due to the bolt style.

I do not think you can go wrong with either one and plan to buy an A300 as a backup. No experience with the Benelli.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll end up with the A400.
