Traveling to another state

I'll be flying to Kentucky in a couple of weeks and I was wondering how I can get my gun there? Is there a special process, special case, etc...?

This will pretty much cover what TSA requires, there have been several discussions of traveling on this and other fora with lots of good information in them, you may need to refine your search a little.
