If a falsehood, she is an accomplice if indeed the shooter did this because he thought her story was true.
maybe a totally different reason, but I find that hard to believe.

If I read the story correctly, the husband found text correspondence between the pastor and his wife prior to her filing charges. Perhaps the charges were an attempt by the wife to cover an affair?
