Recently I ordered one of 5.11's Select Carry pistol pouches to use when driving back and forth from Kemah to La Grange every week. Fedex delivered it to who knows where. I called 5.11 and spoke with Tasha. She promptly sent me another one signature required.
Before the second one arrived, Fedex tracked down the first one and I received it. When they called to deliver the second one I refused it but the delivered it anyway.
Mrs. Anygun took a shine to my pistol pouch saying she hoped they would let me keep the second one.
I called 5.11 to advise them of the status and Tasha told me to keep the second one as a gift because of the trouble I encountered.
Now Mrs. Anygun has one of her own.
I will definitley keep 5.11 in mind if I need to accessorize some more.

Is that one of their new fanny packs? I was looking at them at GT's last time I was there. Although I have a recent bad incident trying to undo it, they are viable for some instances.

Not sure if they are new design or not. I carry a Kimber CDP commander size in mine and it barely fits. As with all manner of carry it takes a little practice to get used to the thing. I mainly bought it because I wanted something more comfortable to use while driving. With it on I can adjust it around the seat belt and have the quick release set just right so I can produce the weapon quickly when needed - you know, like if one of them motorscooter gangs tries to mess with me like they did in New Yark recently. Of course I am normally in my F250 Superduty 4x4 so that is my primary means of defense.texanjoker wrote:Is that one of their new fanny packs? I was looking at them at GT's last time I was there. Mrs. Anygun will start using hers for her S&W model 696, which fits perfectly. She has been using her Flashbang and wants to try the 5.11 as an alternative. She still weighs the same as when we met and does not like cover garments all that much to hide on-waist holsters. She prefers crossdraw and the 5.11 is pretty close to that mode of carry.
My real only complaint about the 5.11 is the two elastic mag holders in the flap. Unless I am doing something wrong, there is no way that my two spare Wilson combat mags are not going to tumble onto the ground if I open the flap wide.
Our collection of holsters and accessories grows.
