dry fire practice advancements

I learned over the weekend I know my gun better than I know others. By that I mean I was drawing a G23 vs my carried Glock 27 and I kept having to adjust to the 3 dot system on his gun. I would eventually love to be avid with ANY pistol I pick up. For now I will settle with perfecting mine. So short of live fire what can I do to increase accuracy and trigger time at the draw doing dry fire draws?

I think when I draw I focus on the front sight but even when the trigger is pulled what am I looking for? the sight to not move? I think a timer may benefit me maybe? Sometimes it feels as though I am waiting to long to fire. Others I am pulling quick and jeopardizing accuracy. Live fire isnt an option for me for a few reasons. Budget and time being the start. A place to do so is another. I sort of understand these ranges not allowing pistol drawing from a holster for liability reasons but that doesn't help me in the least bit.
