did I mess up my renewal?

I did the online form a couple of days ago. I didn't understand from the email with the bar code that it needed to be sent back to them, that just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I saw someone reference sending in the bar code just a while ago.

What do I need to do now?

You must go to the contact page.

Select concealed handgun from the drop down menu.

Fill out all the fields.

Then upload your confirmation email as a file using the browse button. Only DOCs, PDFs, JPEGs, GIFs files are allowed.

Then click submit.

Then your done.

just make a pdf file of your conformation email and send it to the above address it asks you to fill out a form with a bunch of info
i did mine online also this is from eureka 40's post when i asked the same question it worked i got mine in about a week hope it helps

Is it really necessary to do this? If so, i'm surprised it's not explicitly stated on the page that it's necessary.

I thought I saw a few posts here that said folks just did the online registration and they got the license in the mail in about 5 weeks or so.

the email sort of alludes to it, but I didn't really understand that it was necessary if you didn't have anything else to send in. To me if they sent you the email they have the info so you shouldn't have to send it back, unless you have extra stuff to send in....but oh well, I sent it back to them.
