I just bought a Ruger LC9 and am trying to determine the best carry load for it. I shot 50+ rounds out of it day before yesterday in 115, 124, and 147 grains, FMJ, JHP, and Hornady Critical Defense. No FTFs, no FTEs and it was "defense-accurate" at both 7 and 15 yards. At first it didn't want to load the 7th round in the magazine, but after shooting, then cleaning (including a dab of oil on the sides of the magazine follower), it loads the 7th round with no problem.
Anybody know which ammo penetrates at least 12" into 10% ballistic gelatin covered by 4 layers of denim when fired out of this pistol?
Appreciate any info/suggestions....

I've got the Federal LE rounds which are just like the Federal Hydrashocks in my pocket 9. They work.
