ok. One last thing.
Do I have to tell the DPS of any class I am going to teach ahead of time becuse that isnt going to be possible unless I email them and let them know.
Im hoping to have a class set up by the 21st or so and that doesnt give me alot of time

oh yeah i forgot.
also, most if not all of my class has not even registered online or gotten there fingerprints.
do they have to do this all before taking the class cause i see no reason why they would have to.

Re: Does DPS actually answer there phone
For those of you who took out the time to help with me this issue I really do appreciate it very much.

Re: Does DPS actually answer there phone
They don't have to register before the class. When they register and pay online, they will be able to schedule their prints as part of that process. Someone else check my memory on this one... I believe they said the Class Notification (CHL-7) was no longer required, just the CHL-8 after you had done a class.WA1EMT wrote:oh yeah i forgot.

Basically to renew your instructor certificate in list form: 1. Pay $100 online intructor fee on DPS website, 2. must fill out and send in a CHL-90 form, must include proof of NRA pistol instructor. 3. Attend a one day renewal class in person. 4. Submit a CHL-100 for the proficiency part signed off by another active instructor you know. That's it- 4 items basically. You can't teach after 12/31/13 until you're officially renewed to 12/31/2015.
