So I went to a place in downtown dallas that has live jazz and drinks. Serves no food, and charges no cover. Clearly a 51% place.
In the past when I've been there, they had (I'm almost 100% sure) a 51% sign by the door.
While I was there last night, the 51% sign was gone and instead they had up the 'UNlicensed possession not allowed' sign we are familiar with.
So here's the question; it's clearly a 51% place, but they are not signed that way. Does that mean it's ok to carry?

The 51% sign is only advisory to a CHL holder. Its presence or lack of presence does not effect the legality of CHL carry. Carrying into a 51% place is illegal whether it is posted or not. A 51% sign doesn't in itself make it illegal to carry into the place.

I'd be on the phone Monday asking TABC to check it out ...
A lot of the time it's the other way around ...

The easiest alternative is to let TABC do the work. E-mail
