Australian Gun law

Post by Bill »

Irrational thinking, It just make no sense.

Justice Minister David Johnston said Australian firearms laws already were very tight and that it was likely the gun used in Monday's shooting was obtained illegally.

"It is very, very, difficult for a law-abiding citizen to obtain a handgun," Johnston said, adding: "If someone wants to purchase a concealable weapon on the black market they will probably be successful."

Isn't this what we keep trying to tell people?

If it ever came to being a "little" difficult for law-abiding citizens in this country to obtain a handgun...

I might not be very amiable...

Deep down I actually feel pretty sorry for the Australian people...They've lost something...And there are quite a few down there that think like we do, but they have been sucessfully ostrasized, publically...

Not sure if it can ever be recovered...

So its best not to lose it in the first place, right???

Yes you are correct, and as stevie_d_64 said, its rather sad that the people we think of as tough as nails , never give up, protect your fellow man basically have to cower to the gun toten thugs on the street.

I was trying to write the novel The War of 2020, the story of how conservatives were at war with liberals. Don't lose our guns !!!
