This looks like they were playing a game of jump in front of the bus.

Thanks for the post on the background story. I am glad that wasn't seriously injured and he got all A's and one B on his finals.
Many years prior, to getting my degree, I was taught to look both ways before crossing a street. :thumbs2:

In my experience, engineers (especially engineering students and ESPECIALLY t-sippin' engineering students :thumbs2: ) don't have a lot of street smarts ;-)

Give her a trophy so so she can be happy.

It should say, "first class jaywalker" with "special recognition for acting like a 2 year old."

My 2 year old tried that on me once in the aisle of the grocery store. I let her scream, then when she realized she wasn't getting the desired reaction, I pointed out all the customers who were watching her bad behavior. She never did it again.

I believe her agenda was, "I can TOP everyone's posts today on Facebook and Instagram! Look at me, I'm so being abused!"

I believe her behavior will backfire on her when she goes to job interview, once so she finishes university. All HR has to do is google her name. Her application is going in the bin, this one is too emotional for our fast paced professional environment.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

Many people do not graduate by age 24. She could also be a graduate student. If not on her current job, perhaps the next will be subject to an internet search.

I hate to burst anybody's bubble, but most employment decisions are not based on hiring "the best and most qualified applicant."

As CHLLady, stated her application will probably go straight to the bin.

If she did get the job, she might have already have a nickname before her first day at work. ;-)

True enough. I was in my thirties when I was a graduate student. However, neither article I read indicates she's a student. (To be fair, I haven't followed this event as closely as some, and I could have missed that detail.)
