6.8 SPC Anyone?

Post by Iunnrais »

Anyone load 6.8 SPC around here?

I'm getting ready to update my hog hunting round from 1873 era straight walled big bore .45-70 to the nice modern 6.8 SPC.

I've got a set of the RCBS dies plus a Lee FCD for the new setup. Just wondering if anyone has any words of advice when moving to these fancy necked cartridges with pointy bullets :biggrinjester:

been loading 6.8 for a couple years now.

As with any bottle necked cartridge, there are the extra steps in case prep...

I loaded up a spread of rounds with a .2 difference in powder loads and let the barrel choose it's favorite round based on groups.

Good luck, I think you'll be happy with the 6.8.
