For those who think the BLM gives a darn about the law or anything but it's own raw power. This fellow has a deed to the property, pays taxes on the property and the BLM is still going to take his land.

This is not about the law. This is a usurpation of justice and this time it is in Texas.

Ya think the BLM would endorse this rule along the Rio Grande and cede land to Mexico?

We dont own our homes, we merely lease them. Forgo paying taxes and you will soon find that your lease is up.

You do know that it's for tear gas right?
You really are on the inside. You know stuff that no one else knows.

You know that famous sleeping giant that the Japanese were sorry they woke? Our government may be feeling the same way soon.

Why is the BLM now acting so aggressively?

I don't really know, but maybe this will help. A long article from the Washington Post.
The case of cattle rancher Cliven Bundy burst into the national news cycle over the past week, captivating conservative media outlets with its protagonist, a firm believer of states' right with an armed group of supporters backing him. The stand-off between Nevada rancher and federal government officials trying to push cattle off of protected federal land has paused for now, but officials plan to renew their efforts soon.

This most-recent skirmish is only the latest in a decades-long fight between the federal government and Cliven Bundy, however. Here's a timeline that proves just how complicated this case is — as well as the power that the media still retains to elevate a local political issue into a national one.

In that photo in the Washington Post article, it looks like that Eric Parker fella must have had some pretty serious tactical training. Hard cover AND concealment. One must wonder who he had in the crosshairs first, a Federale with a sniper rifle or maybe one with a grenade launcher ...... All this brings to mind an old Buffalo Springfield tune that only some of my fellow geezers may recognize never uses any portion of the title whatsoever in the lyrics. Literally, "For What it's Worth"; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjSpO2B6G4s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not so sure he's skilled, but one would hope he's a skilled shot with his iron-sighted 22-cal (5.56 or 5.45) AK :

Probably more skilled at not getting shot than the people with the cameras. ;-)

Yep Andy, better angle on that photo tells me that he never did Appleseed or he would have a sling on that rifle. And ya Mama, if he was not already on Big Brother's list, he's probably in the top 2% now.
