Antique Black Powder Firearms Expert in North DFW?

Have a friend whose young son has gotten into 'treasure hunting'. Basically, he has been walking the creek in his neighborhood and finding items buried in the dirt. He has found some old late 1800's bottles and found the remains of a flintlock pistol. I have only seen a photo and it's extremely rusted, but would like to find someone that could possibly identify the type and determine if it was a replica or antique.

Anyone know a really good expert in north Dallas area?
