I got the XDs 4" in 9mm a month or so ago and so far like it. I've probably put 200 or so rounds through it. Very accurate and it surprised me how the estra inch reduces the "flip" of the muzzle. I shoot a carry a Shield and they are quite similiar - might like the Shield trigger a little better but pretty close. One thing I noticed was that I could shoot about the same with the short magizine in the XDs as I do with the extended mag in the Shield. Another thing I like about the XDs is the fiber optic front sight - thinking about putting one on my Shield.
