Well, Tuesday I got called and Wednesday I went in and filled out paperwork and started my training to become a trainer for ATI http://www.aticareertraining.edu/ here in Dallas.
It's split shift, 0700 to 1200 and 1800 to 2300, so I get six hours thirty miles from home to do things, maybe DFW Gun Range would hire me for a few hours a day, to sweep up or something, it's right down the street. The split shift means that I get up at 0500 and get home about 2400, and will only get to see my wife on the days I choose to go home during my downtime. And about that sleep.
I will be training in the Electronics System Technician curriculum.
But it's way better than no job at all, and there are possible changes in the future.

Congratulations!! Not having to move is a big plus.
I remember when i was much younger being told that it is so much easier to get a job when you already have one. But it's true.
So, Here's to opportunity.
