How to Peel a Bucket of Potatoes in Less Than a Minute

All you need is a power drill, a bucket, a hose, and a toilet brush.

Here's an article and a video that illustrates the technique.

Acquisition of a new toilet brush for the task is recommended.

Good point.

A GFCI outlet or an extension cord with that feature (or a cordless drill) provide the safe way to do this.

Good idea about the cordless drill.

Peeling potatoes is a boring job, but this looks like a good way if you have to peel a whole bucket.

After being on the potato peeling detail in jump school where we peeled, eyed, and quartered up to 1,000 pounds of spuds a day. I just don't peel 'em any more till they are boiled or baked.

It's an interesting concept. :shock: Yes, a GFCI protected receptacle (outlet for the non-electricians) or a cordless drill will keep you alive. :nono: :rules:

Just cut them up, add bacon, onion, and fry them up in a black iron skillet. :mrgreen:

Yup. I saw this on FB and asked why would anyone want to peel a potato. A few got it, but several didn't.

It may, and this application isn't particularly dangerous, but I wouldn't bet my life on a GFCI. When there is a significant danger of electrocution power should be disabled rather than relying on a GFCI not to malfunction.
