DPS Status Check gone??

I had a student email me today asking how to check status on his app, I repeated the usual website stuff, he said there's nothing on the site for that. I used his info to log in and sure enough, the check status stuff is gone. he can log in and got confirmation emails about his app being submitted so he's in the system. what the heck happened to the status check links?

They are updating the site and there is no status for the time being. When it turns to 'change address", "report lost license", and other options the process is complete and card is on its way. Rumors are that an improved status screen will come out toward the end of July.
