All of my generation 4's run great. It will be interested to see what they did to fix the problems in the earlier model.

All I know is the Game Wardens had problems with their G22's and their G23's. They sent both models back to Glock and used their generation 3 until the problem was solved.

I hesitated at first and just picked up a G26 and a G23. Both run perfect.

All versions of G22 is horrible with a light fwiw.

seems like I remember reading the g19 gen4s were too specially using 115 grain and I think the fix was with a #4 recoil spring and a certain # extractor but I cant find that info again but surely if the "born on date" on the box is a recent date I should be ok

I can't answer the spring # but my gen 4 g22 from late 2011 has operated flawlessly through a fair amount of shooting. Including with a streamlight on the rail.

This might be relevant:

I bought a G19 Gen 4 in August of 2011 that had some extraction issues with throwing brass in the face and inconsistently ejecting.

I replaced the ejector with part number 30274 and got the latest Recoil Spring Assembly from Glock last year which was marked 0-4-3. This seems to have cleared up all inconsistencies in ejection and now throws the brass up and to the right away from the shooter.

Not sure what model you are asking about but the latest RSA for the G34 Gen 4 is 042...
