C'mon, throw some stalking charges and some conspiracy to commit capital murder on top. However, on second thought, he's probably a good boy just trying to turn his life around.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I was called for jury duty once on a retaliation charge. Retaliation in Texas is when you threaten a public servant for something they did to another:
§ 36.06. OBSTRUCTION OR RETALIATION. (a) A person
commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly harms or
threatens to harm another by an unlawful act:
(1) in retaliation for or on account of the service or
status of another as a:
(A) public servant, witness, prospective
witness, or informant; or
(B) person who has reported or who the actor
knows intends to report the occurrence of a crime; or
(2) to prevent or delay the service of another as a:
(A) public servant, witness, prospective
witness, or informant; or
(B) person who has reported or who the actor
knows intends to report the occurrence of a crime.
(b) In this section:
(1) "Honorably retired peace officer" means a peace
officer who:
(A) did not retire in lieu of any disciplinary
action;
(B) was eligible to retire from a law enforcement
agency or was ineligible to retire only as a result of an injury
received in the course of the officer's employment with the agency;
and
(C) is entitled to receive a pension or annuity
for service as a law enforcement officer or is not entitled to
receive a pension or annuity only because the law enforcement
agency that employed the officer does not offer a pension or annuity
to its employees.
(2) "Informant" means a person who has communicated
information to the government in connection with any governmental
function.
(3) "Public servant" includes an honorably retired
peace officer.
(c) An offense under this section is a felony of the third
degree unless the victim of the offense was harmed or threatened
because of the victim's service or status as a juror, in which event
the offense is a felony of the second degree.
Needless to say an active LEO and I were not picked from the pool due to our law enforcement ties as well as several family members who were LEOs and even had friends on the same department as the deputy who was threatened. Judge made us sit through the voir dire still. :totap:

They want to kill him for a traffic violation? Lock them up and throw away the key. Better yet, send them to Iraq and drop them off in the middle of ISIS. Kindred souls.

Just the beginning. Given our open border expect much more of this as we import MS-13 and other gang members. Life is fixing to get much more dangerous for LE.

Was not the traffic violation. She had outstanding warrants and she was arrested and taken to jail. Sounds like the mother is the ring leader and the other family members play along. From the info in the article about previous arrests, sounds they are just a bad bunch all around.

Here is another article with Stephanie Navarro and Jackie Navarro in it. Apparantley they committed a Home Invasion and attacked a woman inside.

Good thing they were stupid enough to ask around about whether the cop carried when off duty. That may have saved his life.

It should also make his intent pretty clear to the jury. It shows the stupidity of people like this.
