Daisy ad 50 yrs ago - 1964 political ad
Anyone remember this ad by LBJ's campaign?
"Time magazine described the “Daisy” ad, which aired only once 50 years ago today, as “the most infamous, and most effective” political ad ever. A little girl appears on the screen, stoops, and picks a daisy."

Yeah, and I also remember a bumper sticker that went something like: "They said if I voted for Goldwater we'd have 100,000 troops in Vietnam. I did and they were right."TxD wrote:Anyone remember this ad by LBJ's campaign?

That ad helped us get one of the top 5 most worthless presidents this country has had in its history.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.
Don’t pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he’ll just kill you.

"Daisy ad 50 years ago"... I was expecting an ad for a BB gun... :-(

It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

"They" don't elect themselves....that's the real scary part.

Re: Daisy ad 50 yrs ago - 1964 political ad
I thought BB gun too, and wondered why a BB gun ad would be political. Then I though, BB guns were mainstream then and not now, so a BB gun ad might be considered political.
Don't remember the ad, didn't click the link. Would have if it had been for a BB gun, my first rifle was a Daisy.
