I know this is serious and all, but I just can't help recalling Chevy Chase in Caddyshack telling the guy to "Be the ball. http://texaschlforum.com/posting.php?mo ... 23&t=74128#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can only imagine the hours you spent on this work. You make a good point that the bullet is not responsible for where the shooter sends it.

I shared this with some of my coworkers tonight. One guy especially thought it was awesome. Of course, he was an Army Ranger in a past life. :thumbs2:

Very nice.

Louis Awerbuck wrote a very poetic work and it makes a great point. Where the bullet ends up is our responsibility. But, there is a risk in all things and we have to decide in a milli-second what we will do. Exercising our right to make that decision is very important. Otherwise we are the victim.

Thanks for posting Andy.
I've been away from the forum for a while and in catching up ran across this. Besides the obvious intent to caution shooters to be responsible, thoughtful and deliberate I wondered to myself if this could some how explain to someone who doesn't understand or accept that the tool is not responsible for the consequences. I have some acquaintances who think guns are evil and I am going to suggest they read Mr. Awerbuck's essay. I was unfamiliar with him and was excited to learn about such a skillful and knowledgeable firearms expert and trainer so I did some research on Louis Awerbuck. Sadly I learned he suffered a debilitating condition due to some surgery and took his life in June of this year as a result.
