A visit to my local gun shop ended up with me picking up a Chiappa M-1 22. When I picked it up I knew I had to get it. It just looked so neat. (sorry I'm sounding giddy), but I think it will be a blast to shoot it. It is faithful to the .30 Carbine and even has a bayonet lug. I'm read that US .30 Carbine stock will fit these rifles. I have one somewhere that's missing the hand guard and I may try it if I run across it.
I haven't had a chance to get it to the range, but a couple of posts I read on some other forums were favorable. Per one guy it will cycle with standard velocity .22LR ammo. My camera battery is low so I'm posting a pic from the NRA review. Very much looking forward to getting it to the range. I'm taking my S&W M&P 15-22 as well. I had a chance to run a few rounds thru the M&P at the deer lease and even with my tired old eyes I was hitting quart bottles at about 40 yds with the open sights standing unsupported. Hope I can do the same with this little baby.
