Another Gun BuyBack Program

Post by gthaustex »

LA is having another gun buy back promotion. I guess they figure Christmas is a good time to dangle the carrot.

I wonder how many are turned in that aren't even in working condition??

That Kel Tec Sub 2000 would sell on Gun Broker for a lot more than $200. I wonder how many of these guns are stolen. They take them, "no questions asked"

You suppose the police check them against stolen lists and return them to their rightful owner if they are on the list? :biggrinjester:

So, handguns, shotguns, and rifles get $100 and "assault weapons" get $200. Is this the California definition of assault weapon?

Just plain sad

I wonder if any end up in other peoples collections? As opposed to being destroyed.

I'd pay $100 for most handguns, rifles, and shotguns as long as they'd work. $200 for an AK or AR any day.

A while back I saw somewhere they were having a buy-back and there were people giving cash for guns so they wouldn't go to the local cops to get destroyed.

I think it's pretty weak that if they turn them in, they don't even get cash. They get a gift card.
