Synopsis in case link goes away:

Sheriff in Chester County, has program where he offers to take kids hunting and fishing. Kid and his mom in Chester County see it on Facebook, drop off handwritten application minutes before deadline at the Sheriff's office. Problem is, they didn't notice that the sheriff offering the program was in Chester County South Carolina, and they live in Chester County Pennsylvania. The PA sheriff calls the SC sheriff, and they work things out for the kid, with the sheriffs and deputies of both departments kicking in some funds to get the kid down there and properly geared up for hunting and the SC sheriff lending a rifle.

Bonus "awww": the SC sheriff and the kid are both named Alex, so it's "Big A" and "Little A".

That's the kind of stuff you like to hear about this time of year especially. Warms the old heart, and a lot of people need to see that our law enforcement folks are not out to kill everyone. God bless them.
