Happy Birthday John Moses Browning

Post by anygunanywhere »

Yes, my friends and fans of the most perfect and functional of semi-auto handguns in history! Today is the celebration of John M. Browning, the inventor of the 1911 design pistol.

There are many who find beauty in a well crafted 1911, and enjoy much pleasure in spending countless hours at the range burning ammo through these works of art.

I will raise a toast this evening to his legacy.

St. John!

I am looking at getting a new Browning A5..... which he originally designed in 1898.
Clearly he was visionary in firearm development.

I have 6 1911s and 3 A5s.

If you ever get up to Ogden, Utah, I highly recommend the Browning Firearm Museum. Or if you ever get out to Nauvoo, Illinois, seeing the exhibit with his father's old shop.

Arguably (and not really much of an argument) the most brilliant firearms designer in the history of the world.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.
