Leather Embassy Leather Fanny Pack Gun Holster

I've found the waist-pack holsters to be useful over the years. I'm not familiar with the "Leather Embassy" brand, but the gold standard of the genre is probably the Galco Escort. Your best bet is always going to be a product made by a recognized quality holster manufacturer. Longtooth has compiled an exhaustive list of top manufacturers in the "holsters" section of this forum.

I've used leather fanny packs for years to carry my various digital cameras, one of which is larger than many concealed carry guns, so I bought one specifically designed for CC last week.
I've not had an opportunity to try it in public yet, but wanted the flexibility to use it when the circumstances warranted. It gets HOT here in TX this time of the year and a fanny pack just seems like a good solution sometimes. Nobody has ever questioned what I was carrying when it was a camera, so I won't worry about what anyone thinks.

I have that same fanny pack. I don't use it for day-to-day carry. I grab it when I'm walking the dog, or running on short errands on the weekend...usually in jeans or Dockers, etc. I prefer a holster for most of the time.
It is well made. I threw away the inside gun holder because it wouldn't fit anything short of a J-Frame. I also installed a stop on the lower zipper. If you let the lower zipper "unzip" too far, there is the risk of the gun falling out before you can grasp it. That's the poor design part of the pack.
It's ok for what it is.
