I'm with you. I just bought 4 buckets of Remingtons and I hope that "New and Improved" advertisement on the front of the bucket is accurate. I've never really had a massive failure with Remington 22's but that's the only products I will ever buy from them. 1 out of 50 is about my experience over the years with all of them except CCI. I'm sure I've went through boxes with zero but the impression remains with those "clicks" and I've probably had more with Remington than the others. At 3 - 4 cents a round it's worth it for me. At CCI prices between 7-10 cents a shot it's not.

$59.95 for 500 rounds isn't too bad for plated HV ammo these days. Sign up for a free account and the price goes down $3.
12 cents a bullet is a terrible price. I wont pay above 7 cents.I prefer rem gold bullets and cci. I will pay up to 8 cents a bullet for cci green tag which is the only ammo that runs reliably in my 22 conversion. I did get 500 rounds of winchesters for 6 cents a bullet few months ago.

I had just ordered 500 rounds of CCI mini mags 22r for $59.95 when I stumbled upon the 3 Winchester 555 bricks at Walmart for $27.88 each that I happily bought. If I had only had some way of knowing that I was going to find the $.05 rounds at Walmart, I would have not ordered the $.12 per round ammo. Sometimes though, if you don't have any, even $.12 per round is cheap, I guess.
