I'm not expecting the same quality results I get with an airbrush. Even with normal paint, a rattle can paint job isn't as good as an airbrush. However, if I'm touching up the paint on the mailbox, a rattle can is good enough and a lot less hassle than the airbrush. Especially cleanup. I'm starting a trunk gun build and it's going to get knocked around so I'm not worried about starting pretty because it won't stay that way long.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the new Duracoat aerosol cans? I used their original finish with separate color and hardener, applied it with an airbrush, and I'm very happy with the results. Now they have a spray can that combines everything in a single unit. It looks like it's a lot more convenient but is it any good?

Are you asking about this aerosol or the Shake 'N Spray cans?
I've used the Shake 'N Spray cans with other kinds of paint. I don't like them. They apply paint unevenly, and are prone to sputtering.
I don't have any direct experience with the aerosol cans, but I can't imagine they'd be any different than spray paint. Some people can get good results with spray paint and some can't. I fall into the latter group.
