Probably want to time it to the last week of September, first week of October. Marana is having a big stocker/feeder sale on the 17th and my nephew is going to move some cows.
What To Bring:
2 pr. heavy leather gauntlet, 1 pr. batwings(lots of stickery stuff out there), 2 wide brim hats (1 straw, 1 felt. temps are variable), 5 pr. wrangler straight leg(they tuck INSIDE the boot, keeps thing from crawling up to your...), 6 drawers, 1 thick leather belt, 1 light jacket or vest, 1 duster, 1 slicker, 1 heavy coat, 5 white canvas long sleeve shirts(snaps, not buttons! buttons are tough when you're wearing gloves), 6 tees or thermal undershirts, 3 or 4 bandanas(no shemaghs), Boots, enough arch and heel to keep your ankle out of the stirrup, but not so much you can't walk(I've started to wear Ariat's Ironside for work), 6 pr. socks that will let your feet breathe!
Small first aid kit, water bags or canteens.
If you've got one, a well built stock saddle with a high cantle and tall horn, you'll be working up and down terrain a lot(we've got collars and cruppers that will fit most). If not we've some extras we'll fit to you. We've got bags, rope, wire, and staples.
A good pocket knife w/hoof pick(case makes an excellent one), 4" fixed blade knife with good retention scabbard, optional* fence pliers with a hammer head or heavy enough built to pound staples.
Saddle gun, your choice, but nothing you'd hate to see wet, scratched, dusty, muddy, etc. Some folks carry lever guns in a rifle caliber, others model 12s or 870s. We've got scabbards.
Ultra reliable pistol w/ flap holster.
An appetite for fresh air and some great scenery. We'll be at the tail end of monsoon season so the Sonora will be green and lots of stuff will still be in bloom.

People pay good money for a trip like that. Seems like they also made that into a movie, City Slickers or something like that.
