$500 million in US weapons to Al-Qaeda??

The Pentagon admits it may have lost $500 Million in U.S. weaponry to Al-Qaeda, including:

• 1,250,000 rounds of ammunition
• 200 Glock 9 mm pistols
• 200 M-4 rifles
• 4 Huey II helicopters
• 2 Cessna 208 transport and surveillance aircraft
• 2 coastal patrol boats
• 1 CN-235 transport and surveillance aircraft
• 4 hand-launched Raven drones
• 160 Humvees
• 250 suits of body armor
• 300 sets of night-vision goggles

Easy come, easy go. No big deal. They wouldn't think to use that stuff to hurt anyone.

Now this would be a good use of Predator drones. Use all possible surveillance methods (UAVs, satellite, aircraft, etc.) to locate the larger assets. When you locate something, send in a Predator to make it "go away".

I guess Washington really wasn't very concerned about "armor piercing" ammo after all...
