A Good Week....

Post by RoyGBiv »

My Blue Devils are National Champions, my High-schooler received their letter of acceptance into National Honor Society today and my wife will be taking her CHL class this weekend.

To celebrate, I'm smoking a pork butt on Saturday. Carolina style.

:hurry:

I'm feeling fortunate and grateful.
I hope all y'all's week is going just as well. :thumbs2:

Share the joy. Post here with some good stuff.!

Correct... Carolina BBQ is PORK! And "Down-East" Carolina BBQ is made with a vinegar sauce, not a tomato-based sauce. Even better.!!
I went to a lecture/lunch today... "Pipeline Safety"... The location was Billy Bob's in the Stockyards (gun sign RED  ).
They served BBQ..... Brisket.... I laughed thinking about this thread. Brisket was excellent. As was the sausage.

Thanks for the congrats... I was feeling tired of feeling tired.... 6+ years of "progressive" policies has really worn me down.
Figured I'd share some good news.

I had intended, and maybe I should have made this clearer, for this to be a thread where folks could post some personal good news...

Would be a nice distraction from the recent grind.

My favorite Down-East Carolina BBQ Sauce...

Just an FYI on processing time.

Wife received her license yesterday...

Took the class on 4-12.
Online application submitted on 4-13.
Fingerprints on 4-16.
Electronic documents (CHL-100) submitted on 4-17.
Received CHL on 5-7

24 days from application to receipt.
20 days from application complete (docs submitted) to receipt.

Pretty quick, I think.
