I guess everyone is in favor of not having gun violence.

Some how I am figuring this is not just about stopping gun violence.

If he gets invited and declines... what do you think happens next in the media? "Oh, so you like gun violence then?!?!?"

He, or his handlers, do not have the insight to see past the "gun violence" facade and see "anti-liberty gun control" like those of us here who are awake.

Tim McGraw is a Democrat and Obama supporter ...
POLITICS "It's innate in me to be a blue-dog Democrat. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but that's what I am. My wife and I and our family will do everything we can to support Obama. I like his ideas, I like his energy, and I like the statement he would make for our country to the world."

Here is the people the concert will benefit.

They are certainly not out on the face anti gun.

They seem to want to teach gun safety to kids.

They want to identify early on people who need mental health.

Both worthy goals.

I'm just doubtful that is their whole mission.

I believe the more common term for a confirmed Democrat is "yellow dog Democrat."

This group on the surface has reasonable goals/programs relating to certain aspects of mental health awareness and gun safety. Then again, they throw out the meaningless term "gun violence" in relation to all their programs, and reference studies/statistics that lump suicide and legitimate use of firearms with such "gun violence" as well as studies/statistics that discount defensive use of a firearm when it is not actually discharged. Following the logic of their choices -- actual discharge of a gun toward a person FOR ANY REASON is "gun violence" and not discharging a gun means it cannot have been used defensively -- we seem to reach the crux of their position. To them, the evil demon killer gun allows those with mental health issues to harm themselves and others, and therefore should be removed from society except in the hands of law enforcement, who are the only ones whose wizardry allows guns to be used for good. Call me a skeptic...

Don't be fooled...it's pure subterfuge. "Gun safety" is the new anti code word for gun banning. They just got smart and understand saying ban guns doesn't work for them.

Tim and his wife Faith showed their true colors in an interview with Bill O'Reily on Fox shortly after 9/11. They are not just loyal dumbocrats, they are true died in the wool prog's who actually hate the USA and all it stands for. I never listen to their music. I find them repulsive.

Maybe he'll end up touring with the Dixie Chicks after this.
