Hopefully, the .45s won't be far behind.

Re: Glock mags from Magpul
I have to ask, why? Glock mags are some of the cheapest most reliable factory mags out there. Is there a glut in the market for them? I can easily find any model mag I want right now. I guess I don't get it. Not to say that another manufacturer isn't a good thing, I just wonder what the reason on Magpul's part was.

It's kind of like wearing Victoria's Secret undergarments. Only a lucky few will ever see them, but you feel sexier knowing you've got them on.SigM4 wrote:I have to ask, why? Magpuls MSRP is $15.95. I haven't seen Glock mags for that. If the Magpul mags are as good as their AR mags, I'll never buy another Glock brand magazine for the G19.SigM4 wrote:I have to ask, why? The opportunity to generate revenue. :-)I just wonder what the reason on Magpul's part was.

Re: Glock mags from Magpul
Midway has Glock .45 magazines at $25 each right now. If Magpul makes them and sells them for $18-19 each and they are as reliable as all other Magpul mags have been, I probably won't buy another Glock factory mag again. Of course, with the competition, Glock mags may come down in price some.SigM4 wrote:I have to ask, why? Glock mags are some of the cheapest most reliable factory mags out there. You can't go wrong with a Magpul mag in any flavor. I will be buying them.

Re: Glock mags from Magpul
I use a lot of Magpul products, but my Glock magazines have been 100% reliable and I will stick with the Glock magazines. If you watch the sales you can get Glock magazines under $25.00. So I don't see the extra advantage on this one.

Re: Glock mags from Magpul
That's my take too. Again, nothing wrong with options, heck I'll probably try one myself, I just don't see the benefit with these as I do with their AR mags.ghostrider wrote:The opportunity to generate revenue. :-)I just wonder what the reason on Magpul's part was.

Re: Glock mags from Magpul
I figure Glock or the distributors are selling the mags for what they can get, not for what they cost. Competition generally means win-win for consumers.
I might try the Magpul mags, but if Glock lowers the price, I will still use theirs for most. I have made a rule of using only OEM mags in my pistols for a while now and don't regret it. I might change that if Magpul makes some new high capacity mags.
