Screw loose:

Post by RetNavy »

you would think having a wife and two daughters you would be able to find a bottle of clear nail polish....... NOPE.....

had a screw that holds one of the clips on my Crossbreed IWB holster that kept coming loose and was going to use the nail polish as lock-tite to seal it.....

only bottle of nail polish was purple metal flake,,,,,, it works just as well

It's still concealed, so it shouldn't matter what color it is. My daughter's school doesn't allow colored nail polish other than clear or flesh tones, so I've got some around here somewhere.

When I first read the title of the thread I thought it was going to be another Harry Reid or OCT thread.

Thanks for the idea of using fingernail polish. I too have a couple loose screws on my belts.

Why not take a trip to the man boutique (auto parts store) and buy some Lok-tite? Then you guys can get your man cards back

Oh c'mon guys. You mean to tell us that you don't use clear nail polish when you get a manicure?

Uh, no.I do get my toes done with Mrs Anygun. When I do I bring along my gun literature since there is a scarcity of appropriate reading material. I have had a MANicure before but no polish.

You don't even have to leave the house and spend time in the boutique....Amazon will have it delivered to your door.

I have 5-6 little tubes of blue and red loctite all over the place.

Between small parts on rifles (ambi AR safety, KNS anti-rotational pins, grip screws), screw in front sight posts on Glock night sights, a dozen holsters with screws all over them (Safariland, Comp-tac, Raven), optic mounts, and several other things... it is foolish to not have loctite available where you work on your guns and gear.

Just go buy some.
