SB228 coming up Monday

Just a heads-up... Monday the Texas Senate will vote on SB228, which copies what Louisiana does: a sales-tax-free weekend prior to hunting season for guns, ammo and certain hunting supplies. In this case, it would start at 12:01 am Friday before the last full weekend in August, and end at midnight that Sunday. For a new firearm costing hundreds of dollars, savings could be quite significant. Sales will probably go through the ceiling that weekend.

I remember a store in Illinois called Farm King. Once a year they had a sales tax free weekend. I remember got my first semi auto handgun that weekend. A m&p 9mm for $370 flat.
